I just got back from the private Spoon show at the Annex sponsored by Jack Daniels. The show was short (about an hour and 15), but they played a nice mix off their albums. The songs off their upcoming release, “Gimmie Fiction” sounded great. The band was playing on rented equipment tonight, and had some difficulties with the keyboard, but they sounded amazing. Really fun show combined with free T-shirts, playing cards, and everything under the sun Jack Daniels. I’d like to thank Brad Savage from WMAD for hooking me up with the complementary tickets for my friends and I.

On an unrelated note, I have added a “Madison Venues” area to the links section located to the right. I try to do my best on the “Shows” page to let everyone know what shows are going to be in the Madison, Milwaukee, and Chicago area that I would enjoy or find interesting. I understand that there are other great shows of other bands that I’m not into that some of my readers my enjoy, so for your convenience, I have added those venues for you to check out on your own. We aim to please here at Muzzle of Bees. As always, if there is a show that does’t appear on the “Shows” page, or a venue in Madison you would like to see added to the links, please contact me, and I would be happy to give it some blog space.
