Breathe Me….

Posted on Tuesday 23 August 2005

I’ll admit it, I’m a 6 Feet Under fan. If you saw the final episode and want an MP3 of the song (Sia – Breathe Me) that played while Claire is driving to NYC, then head over to Stereogum. You can read Ruth, Keith, David, Federico, Brenda, and Claire’s obits here.

Everyone reads You Ain’t No Picasso and yesterday he played host to an ipod war between Annie (a fellow Wisconsin blogger!) and Matt and offered others to submit their lists, which I did. I thought I’d repost it here. I really wanted to refresh the random playlist, but I didn’t.

Willie Nelson – Harder They Come
Uncle Tupelo – Still Be Around
Clor – Magic Touch

The Rosebuds

Posted on Saturday 20 August 2005

The same friend that turned me on to Lewis and Clarke has been telling me to check out Merge Records next big thing, The Rosebuds.” I forgot about it, but just this morning got my first taste of the album, and I think it’s great. This husband and wife duo sings sweetly in your ear and makes you just a little dissapointed that you’ve been without them this long (maybe you haven’t, and I’m the only slow one). You can pick up some of their stuff right here (only $9), and make sure you check out this for more information. Keep your eyes out for the release date of “Birds Make Good Neighbors,” you’ll thank me later. Finally, here’s a few MP3′s to get them in your head, once they are, they’ll be there for awhile.
