I’m going to let you in on a secret. The National are quickly becoming one of my favorite bands. Expect their album, Alligator to land somewhere in my Top 5 of 2005. Today I have a real treat for you, The National played the “Black Sessions” in Paris on April 29th of this year, and below you will find the MP3’s of the performance in high quality audio. Enjoy!

    Simply amazing mate !!! I love The National, i am agree with you “Alligator” the best album of 2005. Thank you so much for the Black Session, the audio quality is perfect.
    I’ve seen them on live in Rome last summer, great concert…

    ive been hooked on these guys from july of this year …i worked at american eagle and “able” was on our in store play. hooked from then on..now im trying to find “sad songs ” , “cherry ” , and “self-titled” because no one here has them in town.

    But — not to be a killjoy — I keep getting an error in “Daughters of the Soho Riots.” Would it be possible for you to post a fixed version, or is this a problem with the original recording?

    Thanks for the lowdown. I love the Black Sessions but I was missing a few of these tracks. As good as they are on record, they may be even better live. Can’t wait to see them again in October.

    Have new national video for a track called runaways on my blog. Its a cracker of a tune, pitched somewhere between gator and boxer.
