Can you handle just one more?

boty.jpg
I know that we have all read tons of best of lists, but I have to give a shout out to the best record store in my town.

B-Side records located on State Street offers the best selection, best prices, and friendliest staff here in Madison. Each year I look forward to picking up a copy of their year end list, and while I was away, I always had a friend pick one up for me and drop it in the mail.

Here’s a link to the B-Side website, and click here to view a PDF of the current and former staff at B-Side’s favorite albums of 2005.  You can also take a look at what they were diggin’ in 2003 and 2004 here.
If you live in the Madison area stop by the store, I doubt you’ll leave empty handed.

Definitely THE place in Madison to buy music. Great selection of discs, music DVD’s, zines and vinyl. The staff is great and love to chat about music. I don’t shop anywhere else in town (unless i’m forced to).

I wish I could go to B-Side. Here in Georgia, the place to go is Criminal Records.

Oh, and thanks for changing the link over. Whewww! By the way, I’m working on your Hot Bitch rating.

B-sides is an outstanding shop. I love the clerks and the Bob Marley & the Wailers promo box in the end of the store. You can hear the light switch on/off if you listen closely; it must be ancient. Mad City Music Exchange on Willy St. is great if you’re looking for used CDs/vinyl. You can get lost in there for a long time.

Oh, B-Side, how I miss thee. Ryan, thanks for putting up these .pdfs. Saves me a trip and still keeps me in the loop.

It is my second favorite destination in Madison when I visit. My most favorite is the Casbah. Does it still exist? I’ll be your friend on myspace. I’m Futurist there, but here I remain “cannot be trusted.” Adieu.

i love b-sides! the staff is so great

  7. Pete Says:

The Casbah is still alive and kicking. Although now that smoking in bars is outlawed the good ol’ days of smoking hookahs there is gone.

Is it true that in the summer you’ll be able to take the Hookahs outside? I thought someone told me that. I haven’t been there in years.

  9. Pete Says:

In the summer you can still have a hookah outside. I’m looking forward to it once the weather gets nice.
