Wow, great post, as last night before the kathleen edwards show in Los Angeles, the bar was playing (I assume) a leaked/advance copy of the new Ben Harper. I scoured the Interweb when I got home to no avail.

Ben Harper is always good, and he is phenomenal in concert although I haven't heard a record of his more solid than the fight for your mind or cruel world albums.
The link to give a man a home appears to be wrong, just so you know. Thanks!

Dude,

I am so excited for new Ben material. He's completely my hero!

This post from .net got me super excited/nostalgic for live Ben:
http://forum.benharper.net/read.php?2,117461

Especially the end:
The show ended with the gospel-tinged “Where Could I Go,” which found Ben guitar-less at the front of the stage and putting every last drop of energy into the vocals. ...and then a five minute, completely delirious ovation from the crowd, Ben bouncing around the stage trying to figure out what to make of the pandemonium...

“With My Own Two Hands” starts off kind of slowly and I wasn’t sure it was the right choice for the crowd in this kind of frenzy. What I didn’t factor is the call and response factor of both sides of the “Two Hands / War” equation, which culminated in what felt like five minutes of crowd and band in unison chanting, shouting, exulting, “I BELIEVE IN A BETTER WAY...I BELIEVE IN A BETTER WAY...I BELIEVE IN A BETTER WAY...I BELIEVE IN A BETTER WAY.”

Once the house lights came on after, there was a palpable, nearly post-sexual glow to the crowd. The sentiment was unanimous, however phrased. Talk in the room and outside universally declared this an all-time show, with nary a spent soul able to cite a better live performance, by any artist, ever.

Sounds like an understatement if you ask me!
