It’s way too early to start thinking about favorite albums of 2006, but it’s not too early to say how much I really love Centro-Matic’s new album, Fort Recovery. If you haven’t gotten your hands on this little gem please order it from their website or your local record store.
You can stream the whole album here if you need more convincing.

Agreed on Fort Recovery. I only just discovered this band a month ago and I can’t stop listening; the last album is good, too. Have you heard anything from one of Johnson’s other projects, South San Gabriel? Good stuff.

This promises to be a good show:
04/09 Sun - Madison WI - King Club - with: Great Lake Swimmers

I agree fairweather. I really like the Great Lake Swimmers as well. I just wish it was at any venue other than the King Club.

Will Johnson is the hardest working man in rock and roll, and his back catalog is worth exploring. Centro-matic is my favorite band right now.

This is probably my favorite band. Ryan - I tried to get you to check them out the last time they were here. That show rawked, and Will even signed my copy of Love You Just the Same!

You’re right you did. The show was at the Crystal Corner right? I won’t miss them at the King Club this time around!
