Catching up on catching up.

Pitchfork reviews Tapes N’ Tapes album, The Loon (finally). [8.3]

Inconsistency, Tapes ‘n Tapes understand, adds character and colorizes personality; it also keeps listeners off-balance and wanting more.

Tapes N’ Tapes along with Birdmonster and Seventeen Evergreen will be playing the Gorilla Vs. Bear showcase at the Cavern in Dallas on March 10th.

__________

Today, I’m picking up the new Destroyer album, Destroyer’s Rubies. I know I’m a week late, but I can’t wait anymore to own the real thing. You can stream the entire album on the Merge Records website.

__________

I’m also thinking about buying Walk The Line on DVD today. I watched a special on CMT last night about the making of the movie.

__________

Can anyone hook me up with a ticket to the Lucinda Williams show at the Barrymore next Monday, March 6th?  I’m willing to pay face value for the ticket.

I’d totally be there, but I will be in Florida on that date. If you change the date to the 13th, I promise I will make it.

save your cash on the faux cash dvd.
while it is watchable, i couldn’t get over the j. phoenix acting thing. he just didn’t do it for me. johnny cash was so much more dimensional than this portrayal.

I thought Walk the Line would be really good if you haven’t seen Ray. And if you like to be depressed.
It was the exact same movie as Ray, but with a white guy instead. I would save your money as well, rent it and burn a copy (gasp, isn’t that illegal?) if you like it.

Man, I was actually going to ask you if you had extra tickets to Lucinda Williams.
