I’ve been digging the new Belle and Sebastian album, The Life Pursuit quite a bit lately. I whish I could have seen them when they played in Milwaukee last week. I’ve got some really great stuff for you Belle & Sebastain fans today.
Here are a few MP3′s that landed in my mailbox today. Their take on the traditional “Whiskey In The Jar,” is better than Metallica’s if you can believe that (sorry Lars).

i saw b&s two weekends ago when they played at riverside theater in milwaukee. it was incredible! lots of dance pop goodness. thanks for these!

Thank you so much for posting Whiskey in the Jar! Thin Lizzy and Belle and Sebastian are two of my favorite bands, so I was very excited when I found they covered that when I went to their website.
Of course, it isn’t the same as the real version, but it gives it a fresh feeling.
