Madisonfest – March 24th & 25th = Free Good Time

I know what you’re thinking, you spent all your money on spring break, and now you really want to go out this weekend, but you’re “broke flat broke.” Well, I’m late in getting this out there, but I definitely want to give you the heads up on a great festival that is taking place right here in Madison this Friday and Saturday. It’s called Madisonfest, and not only is there a stellar list of bands that are playing both nights, but best of all, it’s free.

All shows will be held at Club 770 on the University of Wisconsin campus. In addition to live music there will also be workshops and discussions. Please follow this link for a list of all the confirmed artists that will be playing. Please make sure to stop by, even if it’s for just a few hours, because this is a really great thing run by some great people at the UW.

I won’t be able to attend on Friday, as I’ll be in Chicago checking out The National, The Cloud Room, and Talkdemonic, but I’ll be stopping by at some point on Saturday night to check out the scene. So, those of you that have always wanted to meet a blogger, and maybe get a photo taken, you’ve got your chance!

I’ll be there for Rainer Maria, Headlights and hopefully Maritime, at least. I have to be in a couple afternoon meetings on Friday, but will try to see as much as I can other than then.
