The Built To Spill performance scheduled for April 13th at the Barrymore Theatre in Madison has been postponed until Fall. The new date, which has been confirmed, is Thursday, September 14th.
The delay is due to BTS’ frontman Doug Martsch’s ongoing recovery from recent eye surgery. Doug was seriously injured while playing basketball. He incurred a torn retina, the surgery for which requires he lie FACE DOWN for 2-3 weeks while his retina heals.
Built to Spill is making up all of the dates of their spring tour next fall, and will go forward with a West coast tour this June.
None of this affects the release of You In Reverse, Built to Spill’s first album in five years, on April 11th.
Tickets purchased for the April 13th date will be good for the rescheduled Sept. 14th show. Those unable to attend the Sept. 14 rescheduled date should contact the Barrymore Theatre at 608.241.8864 to arrange for a refund.

Did you see that you can pre-order You in Reverse with a signed booklet from Tower Records online? I almost never shop there, but I did make an exception for that.

So he has to lie face down for 2 weeks? That is horrible!
