A couple more great shows have been announced for the upcoming months. A few dates sure to make your summer sizzle. His Name Is Alive will be stopping in Madison on their first tour in 10 years. It should be excellent. I really enjoyed “Mazatlan”, the debut album by The Plastic Constellations. Their live show should prove to be a blast. Jolie Holland is loved by Tom Waits and most others who have heard her. Check out the dates:
6/10 (Saturday) – His Name is Alive (w/NOMO) – The Annex $10
7/1 (Saturday) – The Plastic Constellations – The Journey Music $7
7/28 (Friday) – Jolie Holland (w/Sean Hayes) – High Noon Saloon $12
Tickets for all three shows are available through Virtuous.com
In addition, Madison residents should be sure to head over to the Marquette Waterfront Festival (June 10 – 11) for a great time. Madison favorites Charlemagne and The Kissers will both be playing this year. I’m glad I live within walking distance of the fest.

Dude, get up to get down for the NOMO pairing on the 10th.
Those guys are an absolute riot, filling the air with their wacky instrumentation and dark grooves.
Seriously.
