Summer time means seeing live music, and I plan on doing a lot of that this year. I’ve locked in plans to attend the following festivals, and wanted to get an idea of who else will be attending the same festivals and if there are certain artists that they are really looking forward to.
Bonnaroo – June 16th-18th (Manchester, TN)
Intonation Music Festival 2006 – June 24th & 25th (Union Park, Chicago, IL)
Pitchfork Music Festival – July 29th & 30th (Union Park, Chicago, IL)
Lollapalooza 2006 – August 4th-6th (Grant Park, Chicago, IL)

None of them. Sorry. Unfortunately, my summer classes run concurrent with Int., Pitch, & Lolla… blah. However, I might skip to go see Hedgpeth… not to mention a few smaller scale local festivals are happening as well.

I’ll be going to bonnaroo for the 5th year in a row, but thats it. I might go to the ALL good Music Fest so i can see Ween and Moe.down is close by so i might hit that up too. but for bonnaroo I’m excited to see radiohead, beck, bright eyes, and more importantly Andrew Bird! and Devandra Banhart! catpower is gonna be kick ass too.

p-fork fest: jens lekman, moutain goats and band of horses. all should be strange to see in an outdoor festival setting rather than a small club. none the less, it should be fun.
might go to Hedgpeth the night be fore to see the Lips and TMBG as well as the always wonderful Cloud Cult.

Pitchfork will be the one not to miss this summer. The National, Ted Leo, Spoon . . . that list goes on and on.
I’ll see Jason’s Lips and Giants and raise him a Minus the Bear at Hedgepeth as well on the day before P-fork begins. That’s almost worth a big detour north.

I’ll be at all the Chicago fests because I’m local. Roscoe Village, baby! That hedgefest looks really good, but the only band I want to see on there is They Might Be Giants. I’m thinking they’ll add a Chicago date.
