The Journey Music shut down

Madison’s all-ages music venue, The Journey Music, was shut down mid way through the Friday night concert by local band, Apparently Nothing. Early reports indicate that Bob Sieger, building owner, confronted Tom Klein, concert organizer, demanding that the music cease immediately. It seems a harsh request considering that in it’s first year of business there has been no contact between police and the venue. All of the future events at the venue are now in limbo with most of them most likely being cancelled. You can read the full article posted today on The Daily Page. Please do what you can to assist the venue in it’s quest to reopen.

The Daily Page is now reporting that The Journey Music and the building owner are negotiating the future of the venue.

Although I can’t say I go to the all-age shows that much anymore, they were priceless when I was a youngster. Seeing a band in Madison was always better than drinking cheap beer with all the jocks in a field somewhere. I really hope they can find a solution.
