I’ve always enjoyed seeing the Benevento-Russo Duo. I caught their pre Langerado set in Florida earlier this year and took in a bit of their performance at Lollapalooza as well. I think the performance that will always stand out for me is when the played outside on the UW campus at the Terrace. The first time I saw them, and still to this day, I am completely enthralled by the sound that this two-man group can pull off. It’s big, loud, dangerous, uplifting, funky, and I could keep going, but I think I’ve made my point.

The Duo is about to hit the road in support of their latest record, Play Pause Stop. For those unfamiliar with the band, but wanted to check them out, they have three MP3′s off the aforementioned album available for download. Tour dates below include a Madison, Wisconsin stop at the Annex on October 6th.
