Summer Hymns bring their highly anticipated Mirsa Records release, Backward Masks to the musical player of your choice on November 21st, a date that can’t come soon enough if you ask us.

Claiming ignorance here and letting you know this is the first I’ve heard of this Athens, GA based group, but that limited scope has been so incredibly stunning that I’ve begun the proces of acquiring their previous albums. The band’s songwriter, Georgian Zachary Gresham definitely evokes a similar sound to label mate Centro-Matic’s Will Johnson. This is a rock and roll record with a little bit extra on the keys and melodies, but that’s what everyone wants with their R&R these days right?

Highly recommended for fans of MMJ, Centro-Matic, and Luna.
