I was wondering if that would happen. I noticed it was one of the only shows on the tour without Bill. Is he playing the MN show as well?

  3. solace Says:

yeah he is… far as i know he’s playing with Joanna in addition to opening, so i’d be surprised if he doesn’t play the Madison show.

  4. Ryne Says:

It’s great to see that UW has finally gotten around to booking a good show. I saw Joanna Newsom last night in Chicago and must say that it was an incredible show. Also, I couldn’t think of a better opener than Smog. I have serious qualms with this show being held at Club 770. The venue is horrible in general but especially inappropriate for this show.

  5. Aaron S. Veenstra Says:

Is this a part of the fall/winter Madison Fest? I noticed last week that Ambulette is scheduled for the same day at Club 770, and the Union’s calendar lists 12/8 and 12/9 as the Fest days.

  6. wmanningiv Says:

it will most likely be held in the rathskeller instead of 770 due to the physical size of the band. this is for madisonfest which this year will be in both memorial union and union south. brother ali is headlining the same night in the other venue.

    hey everyone,

this show has been moved to the great hall of the memorial union–obviously a much more appropriate venue. opening will be smog, ambulette, and the bracelets. the concert is part of a larger event called the Madison Pop Festival. The website is http://www.madisonpopfest.com. Other bands playing over the course of Dec 8-9 are Brother Ali, Yawo, Chin UP Chin Up, Hockey Night, Maps and Atlases, Wax on Radio, Sleeping in the Aviary, Mason Proper and Brighton MA. More to be announced soon.

    love,
    Danny
