Alright, it seems that I could be one of the last people to be turned on to The Blow, but in the event that you’re late to the game as well, I highly recommend you check out the MP3 posted below. I first heard the track “Parentheses” which leads off the 2006 Sampler so kindly provided by Force Field PR just a few hours ago this morning. The track holds its actual place as the second track on the equally impressive full-length album, Paper Television. Hand claps, electronic beats, and the beautiful female vocals sung by Khaela Maricich provide a sweet little chorus of, “when you’re holding me, we make a pair a parentheses.”
All you love stuck kids may want to place this track on the next CD you mix up and send off to the one you fancy a tad bit more than a friend. Not ready to download that track and waste your precious hard drive space just yet? The band and track both come highly recommended by our friends at Stereogum, Idolator, and Gorilla vs. Bear. Now you know…
