Don’t be alarmed by the album art above, trust me the music holds up and is well worth your listening time!  One of the message boards I frequent led me to the band Ox.  The band’s website describes their sound as “a nod to Velvet Underground meets Bruce Springsteen.” I can’t say that I hear to much of either of those two, but I can put our stamp of approval on this band.  This could very well be one of my favorite alt-country discoveries this year splashed with a nice little bit of punk.

They’ll be performing at SXSW on March 17th, which is one performance that I’ve already got on my short list of “must see” performances while I’m in Austin.
