Maps & Atlases have a big gig coming up in Chicago opening up for Deerhoof at the Metro this month (January 27th). Next month, they make their return to Madison for a free show at Club 770 bringing a little bit of the windy city with them as they share the bill with Chicago’s very own Detholz.

Deerhoof is just about the worst band of all time. Only the Afgan Whigs save them from that honor.

as of right now this show is scheduled for the rathskeller. that may change later, but just giving the heads up.

Wow. I was just thinking how Deerhoof is one of the few bands I get excited about releasing a new CD, how they are making some of the most creative music happening today and how they do so much with so little. I guess since they don’t look like Fallout Boy, sound like the Shins or sell like Radiohead they are about the worse band of all time. My mistake.
