Pitchfork announced The Shins North America tour plans today, and the second date on the tour is a Milwaukee stop at the Eagles Ballroom on February 9th. This show would have been perfect at the Pabst Theater, it’s too bad that bands/managers/promoters are still under the impression that they should be playing venues like the Rave and Eagles Ballroom where the sound and service is by far the worst of any venue in the state.

Wow that blows that they’re playing The Eagles. I couldn’t agree more with your statement about the bands/managers/promoters. What gives?
How great would it have been at The Pabst? And if they wanted a larger venue go to The Riverside! Leave The Eagles and Rave for bands like Papa Roach and My Chemical Romance.
I’ll still go to see them, but it’ll make it even tougher since I’m going to see Sam Beam the night before at The Pabst!
On a side note, after hearing the latest Modest Mouse single off the new album, they might just be perfect for The Eagles instead of The Riverside.
