Seabear – The Ghost That Carried Us Away

seabear.gif

Morr Music is set to release one of finer things we’ve heard these days, Iceland’s very own Seabear. We’ve spent the week enjoying their upcoming album, The Ghost That Carried Us Away.  They share a few similarities with Sigur Ros, but their sound falls somewhere amongst the likes of Kings of Convenience, a less sad Great Lake Swimmers, and Simon and Garfunkel sans the harmonies.

That’s really all I know about them right now, I apologize for the lack of information, but their myspace page isn’t necessarily revealing. What I do know is that this three piece consisting of guitar, bass, and violin have captured our ears for the morning.

They remind me of how Belle & Sebastian used to sound. Thanks, I like this.

If you like this, you should check out Iron and Wine. Another great acoustic band.
