One of the best shows we caught while at SXSW was The Rosebuds set at Club De Ville in Austin as part of the Hot Freaks! showcase.

A couple songs into the performance, The Rosebuds singer/guitarist Ivan Howard revealed that guitarist Justin Vernon hailed from Eau Claire, Wisconsin, which made the few Wisconsin natives in the crowd feel right at home. The Rosebuds are set to play The Stones Throw in Eau Claire on Saturday, June 2nd – sounds like a good date for a road trip.
