Every time I listen to the Black Lips I’m reminded a bit of early records by the Stooges. Since returning from SXSW, I’ve given some repeated listens to their record Los Valientes Del Mundo Nuevo, which was (supposedly) recorded in Tijuana.

The Black Lips recently played a riveting, loud, and monstrous show at Mad Planet in Milwaukee, but not before swinging by Atomic Records to perform in store to a packed audience.
