Last week I revisited a track from a mix CD my friend Justin made for me a few years ago. Justin and I are heading to Chicago tomorrow to catch the Cubs v. Nationals and afterwards we’ll be seeing LCD Soundsystem and YACHT at the Metro. Oh yeah, James Murphy and Al Doyle (Hot Chip) will be doing DJ sets after that in the Smart Bar, so here comes a late night and early morning.

I’ve been introduced to a lot of great music by Justin, so it’s only fitting I share the first Hip Hop track he hipped me to that completely consumed me from The Herbaliser. The second track, “Mission Improbable” on Very Mercenary features vocals by female rhyme slinger What What and a beat that some eight years later continues to make me nod my head and tap my foot.
