Pitchfork Music Festival: Beach House

beach-house.JPG

The bad thing about festivals is the scheduling. For the most part, you want to see every single artist, but realistically that is never a possibility. Therefore, I had to split my early afternoon between Grizzly Bear and Beach House. Sadly, I’d missed the group when they came to town last month with The Clientele, but wanted to take advantage of hearing their breezy piano/guitar pop at the festival.

If you’re a fan of their self-titled album like we are, you’ll probably find yourself quite enjoying them live. It was the perfect set for me to chill out, enjoy an ice cold beer, and just enjoy the moment. The schedule balancing made the show seem all too short, but I’m really glad I got to see an abbreviated portion of the show, because I really feel they’ve got one hell of an album.
