I’ve been on quite a reggae kick lately, spurred by these posts, but can truthfully be traced back to my drive to Bonnaroo last month.
My friend Justin is getting married in Jamaica and made up a mix of some of his favorite reggae tunes just in time for summer, but more importantly, just in time for our road trip south towards Tennessee.
When control of the ipod landed in my lap the one song that I continued to return to was “Maga Dog” by the one and only Peter Tosh. Listening to the aforementioned mix again last night on a drive to and from Milwaukee I continue to be charmed by this song.

Hey Ryan,
On August 19th there is a good band playing in Madison you might want to check out. The band is Portugal The Man, they have kind of a different sound, but are really good. They are playing at The Loft it looks like. Anyway, just thought I’d give you a heads up!
