The Brunettes: Structure and Cosmetics

the-brunettes.jpg

If I could make an amendment to our Tuesday’s Gold: What We Recommend #21 it would be to make room for The Brunettes beautiful Structure and Cosmetics released on Sub Pop Records.

Last night, while navigating the darkness on what seemed to be the longest drive in the world, but realistically only seventy miles from Milwaukee to Madison, I listened to Structure and Cosmetics twice. I was swept up by the delicacy and intimately structured pop melodies that continue to bounce through my jet lagged head.

This album belongs with you at the beach along with sunscreen, Ray Ban’s, and vodka concealed in a water bottle.

The Brunettes will play Schubas in Chicago on Wednesday, September 26th.
