If you’ve been following MoB lately, you’d know we’re excited about the upcoming dual bill of The Brunettes and Ferraby Lionheart at the High Noon Saloon on Tuesday, September 25th. Ferraby recently landed on our Tuesday’s Gold weekly feature, and we’ve already mentioned how The Brunettes soundtracked a recent cross-state drive.
Both artists have brand new records and will be in the same room on one night, sounds like MoB should give away a pair of tickets.
Leave us a comment letting us know what artist(s) you’d like to see play Madison sometime soon. We’ll notify the winner by e-mail on Monday afternoon.

Minipop just send out a Myspace message looking for shows between Chicago and NYC in October, and I’m trying to convince them that Madison is, in fact, between those cities. I’d say Eisley as well, but they’re coming in a couple weeks.

I would love if Eames Era came to Madison. They have the best album of the year.

I’d love for two bands hitting Chicago to reroute their tours and play in Madison instead (though Chicago wouldn’t appreciate it): the Blow and the Pipettes. The two Pipettes shows I saw at SXSW were some of the most fun I’ve had seeing bands live. I’m inclined to believe Khaela from the Blow would also guarantee a good time. I’d love to see “Pardon Me” live, especially. Oh, and “Parentheses”. And “True Affection”. Actually there aren’t many songs I wouldn’t want to hear.
Aside from that, Black Lips would be a bit more convenient if they’d move their show west 70 miles. It’s possible that Madison doesn’t have an appropriately skeezy club for them to play in, however. I’ve never been to Mad Planet, but I’ve got high (or low?) hopes that it’ll be perfect.

Mad Planet is fairly shithouse, though the Cactus Club is and the Globe was worse.
