Andrew Bird To Open For Wilco In Milwaukee

Thanks to reader Brady and Reveille Magazine for informing us that Andrew Bird has been tapped as the opening act for Wilco’s upcoming show at the Eagles Ballroom on Tuesday, October 9th.

Since both acts have been through Madison in the past two weeks it’s kind of hard to get excited about the show, especially with Grizzly Bear and Beach House playing the same night at the Pabst for a $10 show.

Decisions, Decisions…

UPDATE (9/26): Those leaning towards Grizzly Bear may want to check out this video from the recent Hot Freaks performance in Austin.

So the ante has been upped. What’s a Grizzly to do? I get the feeling the Pabst will be rather empty, but that’s where I’ll be.

  2. poop Says:

yeah that sucks. but it is grizzly bear and beach house’s first time in milwaukee

i’ll be at their show too. Shame if its empty though. Wilco isn’t THAT great

  3. Jeff Says:

no Wilco ARE that great, so is Andrew

  4. craig Says:

wilco is that great, but the eagles ballroom sucks that much. and poop’s right, it’s grizzly’s first show here and at the palace we call the pabst. easy choice.

plus, every cheesehead wilco fan should know they’ll more than likely get another wilco related show round thanksgiving time.

  5. poop Says:

didn’t anyone see that Wilco himself vouched for Grizzly Bear himself in the New York Times….? Jeff would WANT you to go see them….tis true!
