That being said, the 25 shows listed below represent some of the best times had this year.

We’ve been spinning Spokane’s Little Hours around the MoB HQ these past couple of nights.

Their Jagjaguwar release embodies delicate folk instruments behind hushed vocals. Go ahead and prepare yourself for winter by taking in the lonesome imagery embodied within the first single “Thankless Marriage,” available below in MP3 and Video format.

Tuesday’s Gold: What We Recommend #35

Posted on Tuesday 20 November 2007

Each Tuesday stop by Muzzle of Bees for our recommended purchases for the week. Here is the album we suggest for the release date of November 20th:

fabriclive36.jpg
Artist: James Murphy & Pat Mahoney
Album: Fabriclive.36
Label: Fabric
Myspace: LCD Soundsystem
Video: LCD Soundsystem – “Someone Great”
MoB: Here’s your chance to capture some of the magic that is James Murphy during his DJ sets. Let this soundtrack your next party, put it on and you can stop worrying about the music for at least an hour plus.

joshua-tree.jpg
Artist: U2
Album: Joshua Tree (Remastered / Expanded) (Super Deluxe Edition)
Label: Island
Myspace: U2
Video: U2 – “Where The Streets Have No Name”
MoB: This 3-disc set included bonus material, a DVD and a 56-page booklet. Everything to keep the most rabid followers digging up the cash to pay for something they’ve already got. In all seriousness this album was pretty important to me growing up. At the end of my 8th grade year my art teacher knew how much I loved U2 and drew in my yearbook a picture of a street sign with a question mark in place of a street name in reference to “Where The Streets Have No Name,” which I thought was so cool.
