It’s easy to get swept up with headliners, I’m guilty as charged. Sometimes it’s worth taking a listen to the openers/support of some of our favorite musicians coming to town and hopefully emerge victorious against the plethora of snowfall in time to arrive early enough to find a new favorite.
For those of you heading out to the High Noon Saloon tomorrow to check out Jason Isbell and Will Hoge, don’t forget about Dawn Landes opening things up. Reminding me of a Car Wheels on a Gravel Road era Lucinda Williams her warm voice will temporarily distill those winter blues.

Next week Muzzle of Bees is proud to present The Whigs at the Majestic Theatre in Madison on Wednesday, February 13th. Everyone caught them on Letterman, right? Make sure you arrive early for opener Wild Sweet Orange, whose Whale EP is currently enjoying heavy rotation status here at MoB HQ. They are perfect support for the Whigs with their guitar driven intensity, which should make for quite an enjoyable evening of rock and roll.
