The Broken Social Scene performance at Lollapalooza in 2006 was legendary, best concert of the year, and easily ranks amongst the top ten concerts I’ve seen in my life (see photo above).
It’s been a long time coming, but the hard working students that make up the WUD Music Committee have confirmed Broken Social Scene for a performance at Union Theater on Saturday, April 19.
Tickets:
Students: $20 for (in advance) / $22 day of
Public: $21 (in advance) / $22 day of.
This show will be Broken Social Scene playing Broken Social Scene songs, not the BSS Presents…Kevin Drew thing. We’re not sure what members will be appearing, though I can pretty much promise you the lovely Feist will not be appearing. Still, I’m beyond excited!

I shit my pants when I read this – beyond words. The Kevin Drew show in Chicago last November was one of the best shows I saw all year.

Delightful! Here’s hoping I have better luck with these tickets than those for Girl Talk. Anyone from the music committee on here that can tell us when they will go on sale?

oh, YES!

Yeah, when do tickets go on sale? That’s the big question.

I’ve called the Wisconsin Union Theater Box office yesterday and today – they’ve got nothing for me. Not in their system yet and no idea when the tickets will be going on sale.

Tickets will go on sale next month. I’ll post them both in this post and in a new post letting everyone know.

Is this a for sure thing? I haven’t been able to find info anywhere else, and I don’t want to get my hopes up
