See You Next Time: Rogue Wave

It was a welcomed surprise when Rogue Wave got added to the already great double bill of Blitzen Trapper and Fleet Foxes at the High Noon Saloon on Tuesday, April 8th.

Sadly, due to a scheduling conflict, Rogue Wave had to cancel their appearance. Not to worry though because the show will still go on and I strongly encourage you to retain your tickets and check out Blitzen Trapper and Fleet Foxes.

The show will start earlier at 7pm and tickets will be $8. Meanwhile, those Rogue Wave diehards can obtain a refund at the point of purchase.

Black Kids are skipping Madison as well.

this makes me angry. I had checked out Rogue Wave’s website and saw that they had a show scheduled for Minneapolis on 4/8. After they were added to the bill at the High Noon on the same day, I called the High Noon to inquire about the conflict. High Noon personnel assured me that Rogue Wave was definitely on the bill. I purchased three tickets last week and now this.

    oh boo. this sucks.

That was a mistake on Rogue Wave’s website — they were scheduled to play the Fine Line on April 7, not April 8.

The conflict is due to a wedding the drummer apparently forgot about — they are now canceling Madison, Minny, and their Colorado gig.

    Not my fault, I promise!

Like I said…this show is still strong sans rogue wave…much as I like them fleet foxes upcoming record on sub pop is highly anticipated.
