Once again MoB friend and contributor Daniel Brielmaier provides wonderful photo recaps from The Pabst last night. By all accounts (via e-mail) it sounds like it was a solid offering from John Vanderslice and Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks. Gotta love the coincidental “Badger” Banger brand electronics atop his amp! Your thoughts and reviews count too! Leave ‘em in the comments.

i think you’re photographer might have been right next to me. if you look closely, the amp actually says “Banger”.

This is actually an “Orange” Amp head – Stephen modified the name…obviously.

Anyone have a copy of the setlist? There were a couple songs towards the end that I couldn’t place.

This is off of the SM site boards excerpted from and hat tip to

“I agree with Chris as Malk shredded the Oyster. Also Baltimore, RET and Baby c’mon were amazing. Overall, it was a good show.
He played the RET album almost in its entirety, only Elmo Delmo was missing. From Pib Lib he played Dark Wave, Oyster and Animal Midnight. From FTT he played Post-Paint Boy and Baby C’mon. One other cover and nothing off the s/t album…”
