wow, what a great show! i was one of the lucky people who stuck around, and just a minor correction to your review is that he did four more songs, not three. he did “higher power,” “psychogirl,” “julie,” and “the cold swedish winter.” oh, it was so beautiful. thanks so much for bringing him here!

amazing show, ryan. and he was so nice and down to earth… i can’t wait to see him next time he comes to madison. good work.

as for the honeydrips, i was a little weirded out too, but I really enjoyed the last two songs he sang in swedish. the bats swooping near his head also added to the entertainment

Jens played a great show, truly enjoyable. I was a little bemused/disappointed with the honeydrips (solo) performance. I wonder what happened to the rest of the band?

I almost went to the Madison show but decided I could wait and see Lekman at Coachella instead. I’m happy to read such a positive review. Now I know I definitely need to check out his set at Coachella.

I like artists who show some personality on stage — not just perform their songs and walk off. You make Lekman sound like he shows a lot of personality.
