Dirty Laundry :: The Soul Of Black Country

Filled with 24 tracks of soul renditions of country tunes, this import only collection I’ve been following for the last couple of months. You’ll find Betty Lavette, Etta James, Pointer Sisters, James Brown, Curtis Mayfield, and Solomon Burke throughout and those are just some big names. Beyond those, the collection rounds itself out with a plethora of slow soul.

I could have picked any track to share, but this morning Arthur Alexander’s “Love Where Life Begins” is just to good to ignore.

I agree, this comp comes in very handy in certain moods and situations. I love it. Ron at Strictly Discs turned me on to this and loads of other righteous funk and soul.
