From The Crowd | Ben Kyle (Romantica) - “Hickory Wind”

From The Crowd shares some our favorite past concert moments captured in video (albeit sometimes shakey and out of focus). Unlike some of our other scheduled features, these videos will be posted sporadically. Chances are you may have been in the audience, if so, please feel free to leave your remembrances in the comments.

It was a perfect night for music in Madison on February 12th, a great double bill of Mark Olson and Romantica’s Ben Kyle were scheduled for Cafe Montmartre. The few in the room got a real treat that night. Unfortunately, live music was competing against a pretty popular draw across town: Barak Obama.

We’ve already shared a video for “Blue” from Mark’s set, but the real highlight of the evening was opener Ben Kyle’s take on the Gram Parsons classic “Hickory Wind.” No more details or description needed, just watch then hit play again.
