Lucero :: Bikeriders

A few hours ago I completed the required drivers test for a motorcycle license. After two classes and a couple five hour marathon riding sessions, I’ve got the paperwork ready for tomorrow’s trip to the DMV to get that “M” on my drivers license.

For the majority of my practice driving Lucero’s “Bikeriders” was swimming through my head, and appropriately so. The songs draws its inspiration from Danny Lyon’s book on Chicago outlaws entitled, “The Bikeriders.” Anybody read the book? Anybody got a bike?

    I love Lucero and I have a bike….been riding for 47 years. I was listening to Rebels, Rogues and Brothers this morning and got hooked on playing Weight of Guilt a few times. I think my my favorite album is That Much Further West. I even talked to Kathy at the High Noon about them. She just said to get them to send some demo tapes, etc. They would be perfect for that place. Sounds like a job for TAG…you out there, dude? To you sir, the very best of of luck with your motorcycle test. It will open a new world for you.
