Although it’s not a show from this week, thought I’d give you a heads up that Blue Mountain is playing in Madison on May 3 and in Milwaukee on May 6. If you don’t know them, Blue Mountain was one of the minor-to-major alt.country bands in the late 90s/early 00s. The band is fronted by former spouses Cary Hudson (phenomenal guitar player) and Laurie Stirrat (now married to Wilco’s John Stirrat). Blue Mountain broke up when the two split, but they’ve since reconciled enough to tour again, and have an album coming out sometime this year.
