Tour announcements steadily fill up our inbox. We are doing our best to keep you up-to-date on concert announcements in Wisconsin…but what about those bands whose tour buses pass through our state without stopping to taste the cheese or slam a PBR? With each tour announcement we hold our breath, click and then….*sigh* when we have to drive out of state to catch a number of great bands.
Has Wolf Parade ever played Wisconsin? After seeing them in the sweaty conditions of Austin City Limits a couple years ago, I was eagerly awaiting seeing them in a club. Not gonna happen this time around though. Wolf Parade ready their yet to be titled album At Mount Zoomer for a June 17th release on Sub Pop.

didn’t wolf parade play some late-summer concert festival thing at alpine valley a couple years back? some other big names were on the bill too…rage against the machine, maybe? i don’t know, i didn’t go, and i could just be imagining all of this. but that’s a hell of an imaginary bill.

Wolf Parade has never played Wisconsin. The fest referred to was moved to a smaller venue in Chicago and the Shins headline, not RATM. WP is well worth the trip to Chicago, their shows at the Metro and Schubas remain some of my all time favorites.
