Let us not forget the greatness of The Knife’s 2006 release Silent Shout. The internet allows fast paced access to lots of music, but is it destroying our attention span? I listened to Kid A for two years strait after it came out. Now my yearly favorites are forgotten after my list is complete. Note to self: Revisit old favorites more frequently.

dude. i totally feel you, here. that’s sort of the purpose of my “revisited” feature, to write about songs from just a few years ago that people may have forgotten already(!), which sounds incredibly silly, but sadly, because of the “new new newness” of music writing nowadays, it’s something that happens a ton.
