Freshwater Collins Record Pretty Demons @ Smart Studios

“We finally finished our new album…it only took about three years. We saturated the tape machine with about as much noise as it could handle – the needles were in the red for the majority of the mix-down. {Producer} Beau Sorenson was there to make sure that we didn’t get too carried away and he also helped us play quieter in (some) verses of songs. We are going off to Phoenix soon to master the record with Roger Seibel and then, hopefully in October, the record will be out – in this order: 7”, digital release, and finally, limited vinyl.”

Freshwater Collins were holed up in Madison’s landmark Smart Studios recording their upcoming Pretty Demos, due October, 2008. Hearing a good majority of these tracks debut at the band’s first ever SXSW performance and now having heard the recorded tracks, these songs represent a band at the pinnacle of their career. No joke. Looking for proof? Download your first listen to “Phone Call” off the upcoming record below as a Muzzle of Bees exclusive!
