David Vandervelde will release Waiting For The Sunrise on August 5th via Secretly Canadian. The new record follows up his MoB approved debut release, The Moonstation House Band, which featured guest contributions from former Wilco contributor Jay Bennett. Bennett’s presence is known on the upcoming release, in fact, he handled songwriting duties for one of the tracks, and injects a kind of Being There/Summerteeth vibe into the whole release. If you were a fan of Vandervelde’s debut, you’ll find his new offering more rounded and mature.
