Eef Barzelay of Clem Snide fame will return to Cafe Montmartre on Thursday, August 7th. I caught his last swing through town at the same venue a few years back behind his wonderful record Bitter Honey. Had a blast.
Eef has a new record, Lose Big that came out last month on 429 Records that I’ve yet to hear. Anybody got it? Thoughts?

I’ve got it & it’s pretty darn good. Where “Bitter” was more of a lo-fi affair, “Lose Big” has a bigger sound in places, and feels a little more produced (for the good). He’s even included “I Love the Unknown”, a Clem Snide favorite, at the end. I like it.
