After listening to Wye Oak’s If Children for the first time some months ago, I sent them an e-mail saying how nice it would be if they would play Madison. Thankfully, their new tour allows for a stop at the High Noon Saloon in Madison on Monday, August 11th.

As a $7 show and with support from Chicago’s own Butterfly Assassins, it’s hard to resist a group that the Drunkard calls, “a balance of folk picking with surges of My Bloody Valentine noise.”
