Their live performance was really outstanding, certainly not a letdown after absorbing such lovely recordings. Plus, a great experience for the band... "It's like the sky is on fire!" Seeing shows at the Union is difficult sometimes with so many there for beer and being social and not giving a damn about the band, but the music had the ability to transport us somewhere else and block out all the drunken drivel. This was the third time I've seen 'em, and they surely did not dissapoint - I felt truely transported with their sublime melodies and perfect harmony. It was hard for me to imagine how they could actually be created right in front of my eyes only while listening to the albums. Kudos to them. I also thought Extra Golden was a perfect early evening set. It really felt like summer while listening to them just plain jam. What an awesome evening! Fleet Foxes amazed most with their ability to bring those amazing harmonies from their albums to life.
