Madison Concert Announcement: Broken Social Scene

p1060222.JPG

This post may bring about some déjà vu. Broken Social Scene is confirmed for a performance at the Union Theater on Saturday, October 11th. This will be a make up for their unfortunate cancellation of their last announced show in Madison. They’re one of a handful of bands that I consider must see these days, especially after their unforgettable Lollapalooza 2006 performance. I’m looking forward to this show and seeing them this weekend in Chicago.

Tickets: Students: ($18 advanced/ $20 day of) / General Public: ($23 adv / $25 day of)

Discuss: Who’s going? Who’s seen them before? What do you think of the BSS Presents Brendan Canning record? Seeing them this weekend at Lollapalooza?

Broken Social Scene and Magnetic Fields on the same night — biggest day of indie rock in Madison history?

maybe this show won’t be canceled like all the other Wisconsin appearance this band has scheduled. Here’s hoping.
