Our friends at WSUM have put together a great day of music under the guise of the Snake On The Lake festival, taking place in Madison on Saturday, September 27th. Having already announced Damien Jurado, it’s with great enthusiasm that news of Chicago’s very own Tortoise will hold down headlining duties. Other confirmed artists are Awesome Color, Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson, El Valiente, The Pistols At Dawn.
The event will once again be held on the University of Wisconsin’s Memorial Terrace and will be free.

Apparently the Sea & Cake will be playing in Chicago @ 8 PM that day. Both bands have the same drummer (John McEntire), so I’m not sure how they’re going to pull that off. What time does Tortoise play?
