I heard that Clear Channel banned this from radio play on all their stations after 9/11. Pretty weird…..

That is weird, pretty sure the song was written pre-9/11..always thought that the lyrics fit though…

Correct, the song was written prior to 9/11.
Further proof Wilco is the best recording and performing band in America at present.

Wilco played Overture last 9/11. Both Jesus, etc and Ashes of American Flags were powerful that evening…
