Our From The Crowd feature shares some our favorite past concert moments captured in video (albeit sometimes shakey and out of focus). Unlike some of our other scheduled features, these videos will be posted sporadically. Chances are you may have been in the audience, if so, please feel free to leave your remembrances in the comments.
Pulling up a seat on the bass drum, Langhorne Slim played a couple numbers sans microphone, adding a sense of intimacy to his show at the Orpheum Stage Door in Madison. It was a hot and sweaty night inside the venue and though the sound didn’t always cooperate, it was a great night. Each time through town, his draw increases and I fully expect that to only continue. Make sure to pick up his fantastic self-tilted release if you haven’t already done so.
Below, watch as Langhorne plays a solo version of “Diamonds & Gold” including mid-song banter about AC/DC.

damn.
I would love to see Langhorne and Robby Schiller have a duke-’em-out battle of the songs.

I drove from Minneapolis to this show. Aside from the rocky start with technical problems it was a great show! 90+ minute set. Langhorne looked like he wanted to play all night.

I was at this show to see The Broken West and Centromatic. Both of which I enjoyed very much….. This was a disjointed show for me… first two acts really great (in my mind)… and the last act a totally different show…
